Everyone knows, we have 'Real' in this area, so everyone likes Niseko.

"How was last year?"

Ross: We had a good weather last year, but it does not mean always we had nice weather…there were various weather….. Especially, the adventure race day….it was Tyhoon, and it was really meaningful weather for the race.

"Are you starting new race this year, aren't you?"

Ross: This year, we will have the pair adventure race and adventure race same day and will start the individual off road triathlon and duathlon, they will be on the same day.If you like the triathlon….you will enjoy the swimming during the race….. You will swim down the river, so you may be have close time to the world record, because you will swim with water flow.
You may feel like Grant Hackett!!

"Is there any change in NAC last few years?"

Ross: There is nothing really change NAC itself, but Niseko area is changed as the resort area. The number of foreign tourist increased, the different kind of accommodations were built and the number of long stay Japanese tourists increased, especially, young family. At this moment, winter time tourists stay long time in here. Near future, Summer time will become same as in winter time (long stay resort area). If so, there are so many things NAC can do for the tourists.

" Flowing of the tourists are changing aren't they?"

Ross: Probably, Niseko will become "Resort area for long stay tourists" in Japan. We do not have the companies which are able to correspond to these tourists in Japan yet. NAC exists as the adventure company for "long stay tourists". I look forward next 5 years. We can do so many things which we could not to do.

"For example?

Ross: For example, if the number of long stay tourists increase, we can organise 1 week Kayak school. Every morning,　the customers go to the river for Kayaking, eat lunch together, and do something different the afternoon. It does not have to be Kayak. If there is more people come and stay in Niseko, more people will come to NAC through the advertisement, and we can design new programs for tourists. I want to make NAC as that kind of place.

"Do you want to make the NAC as the company, which can make plan and design the programs fit in to tourists."

Ross: NAC is in Niseko forever….so we can do any kind of things for long stay tourists.
But we have to think about the balance with other type of customers needs/wants not just long stay tourists. If we make too many new plans/programs, customers and tour guides may be not able to enjoy the adventure…

"Do you have any new plan for 2007?"

Ross: I always have so many plans, but I just change the form a little bit and think again. For example, I want to emphasis the program/menu for the group of customers. So many people come with a group…… go to rafting and after that enjoy BBQ….that kind of plan….. everyone can enjoy together……I want to make a program like that…I think we can make better programs with NAC guides.

"You are absorbed to riding bike aren't you?"

Ross: Yes, I am riding bike all the time. I went to Okinawa for the race, went to Hakodate by my bike and attend to road race. The individual people enjoy their hobby, and when these people meet together, the area will become "the real place". It is not a normal amusement park, it's a real adventure. Not only the resort area, people who live in Kucchian and Niseko area have that kind of life style. People who live in this area and people who visit this area feel it, so everyone likes Niseko. I am one of them.
